Making Knitting Easier
New product offers helping hand to arthritic knitters.
When designer David Hill was asked to develop a final project for his degree course he came up with Helping Hands, an aid for anyone who has difficulty knitting.
The gadget was developed with guidance from occupational therapists and members of the national charity Arthritis Care. It works by providing support for the hands, allowing users to knit without stress on their wrists. David's idea was a big hit at the recent Ally Pally show - so much so that he's now putting it into production. We think it's a great idea, and hope to see this ingenious device in the shops soon!
